Twilight

Well, I can honestly say that "Twilight" is the first series of books that I have ever read voluntarily.

Besides my Cisco Certification Books,.....which drive me absolutely insane by the way. (I welcome anyone who wishes to have a reading induced anuerysm to give them a try)

Aside from that :)~

The 4 books are : Twilight, New Moon, Eclipse, and Breaking Dawn. My wife challenged me to read the first book and after that I was hooked. She loved the fact that we were quarreling over who got to read the book every night. We really had to buy two copies of Breaking Dawn or someone would have been hurt. Besides the fact that I love vampires, Stephanie Meyer is a great writer.

Summit Entertainment and MTV jumped on the opportunity to film the movie "Twilight." After initial conversations with both production companies Stephanie decided to release rights to Summit Entertainment. According to an interview with her, MTV wanted to change to many aspects and views from the book and that's exactly what she didn't.

Here is a movie poster. This one in my opinion most closely depicts the characters.

To try and avoid all the crazy people on opening night, Megan and I opted for the Saturday showing. Even though we were there close to an hour early there was easily 100 people ahead of us.

I wont get to much into it, but after watching the movie I thought that Summit did an awesome job. Each characters personality on the Cullen side was right on with the book along with Bella as well. There were really only 2 scenes that were different from the book other than the ones that were omitted but I'm sure that was to save time. I was reading online today that filming for New Moon has already been started. There's alot of debate whether they will combine the 2nd and 3rd book into the next movie or try to divide them out.

The 2nd book I think by far is the hardest read since it's the most depressing. Megan and I are excited to see how it all turns out.
