Flower Bed

So originally Megan's mother had given us about 500$ worth of flowers from their garden in their backyard in Springville, UT. Within 2 days we had landscaped a new flower bed and even put in a watering system. There was no way we were going to let them go to waste. Problem was we had to put 3 inches of new fertilized soil down since the original soil was so acidic it would have killed our plants. After adding a little border we figured life was great. Until 2 months later.

We had weeds, weeds, and more weeds. The soil had a plastic tarp under it to keep any vegetation from going and when we removed it, it just exploded. So, after our Pioneer day camping trip, the Bybee's, and Megan and I all went crazy. We removed the soil around the plants, weeded, laid a weed blocker solution down and then put everything back together.

Here is the final result. It was kind of hard to get a decent picture of the whole thing and still get some detail.
Just imagine that whole section looked like it had ground cover for a plant. It was crazy.
Ahhh how sad, we lost one.

Looks like I'm the first commenter on the Nelson blog! It looks greats and all your posts are awesome. The camping post looked so fun and that picture of Crash is adorable. That's so nice you can go and do your own yardwork. Clark is just dying in an apartment because there is no garage or yard to work on. The flower beds look great though! And way to go and your own dishwasher installation! Seriously Spencer, you are awesome. Megan is a lucky woman! Ok, I'm done. We miss you guys!
